18 September 2025 – J. Yoki
I just want to start by sharing that, these blogs are a place for me to share my beliefs, studies, and love of God found in the Bible, the Lord Jesus Christ, and life altogether. I want this place to be where intellect validates the Gospel.
If you do not agree with how I understand the Word, that is okay, we are allowed differences of thought. I find the nature of dynamic thought to be an amazing gift from God allowing us to think critically, not following blindly but seeking and searching for who He is. The Lord wants us all to be seekers of the Truth.
I think we lose our humanity when we say we are progressing yet we kill people for voicing their viewpoints on stages meant for such discourse. I say we, because when someone like Charlie Kirk dies in a period of such of cultural volatility and tension, the pressure built up must be released. In this unfortunate case, a courageous faithfilled man, a husband, father, was assissinated. Whether you believe in his postions or not, to kill someone over their views sets an alarming new precedent on how free free-speech is. We are more connected to one another than any other generation making discourse necessary for social progression but this incident is counterproductive if we are trying to grow as a world.
Less than a week later, two men were found hanging from a tree in Missippi.
What kind of madness are we witnessing?
In our ever changing social climate, God has been The Constant Thread of Truth, the Unmoving Rock of Love and Justice, and Faithful. As a beliver, I know that these heinous acts are what the Lord Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24:4-14. The world sees these events without hope of a bright future but those who know Jesus as Lord over their lives fully know that the end is near.
Pray the Lord, searches your heart and purifies you (Psalm 139).
Turn away from sin. Read Colossians 3:1-17. Put on your new self in Christ.
